Phlebotomy

East and North Herts Trust provide all our phlebotomy nurses and appointments. We host nurses Wednesday - Friday at various times, you can book to be seen at Bedford Road on Tuesday mornings or at Lister Hospital through their Swiftqueue click here to go straight to their website.

As Portmill surgery do not run this service, if you have any concerns or issues please contact East and North Herts Trust's Patient Advice and Liasion Service (PALS). You can find the information you need here.

Midwifery

East and North Herts Trust provide a maternity service for our patients. You should let the service know as soon as you find out you are pregnant. You can self refer to the service here. You must be registered at a GP practice before you fill in the referral. Appointments with the community midwives are usually held at the Bluebell Family Centre, with other maternity services based at Lister Hospital. As with the phlebotomy service if you have any issues or concerns, please contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) here.

Anti-Coagulation Clinic 

Herts Community Trust provide an anti-coagulation clinic at the surgery on Wednesday afternoons for those on blood thinners, such as warfarin. We do not book those appointments here at the surgery and we are unable to see the clinic lists, so unfortunately we are unable to answer any queries around appointments.
