Patient Participation Group

The Aims of the Patient Participation Group

Our Patient Participation group is a chance for you to get more involved with your GP surgery. All our meetings are now run in conjunction with our Primary Care Network, Hitchin and Whitwell PCN, and we cover the following 3 areas:

  • Health education
  • Updates around our services and the individual surgeries
  • Potential opportunities for volunteering and health champions

We have so far offered educational talks on the menopause, neurodiversity in children and prostate cancer, with a full programme already designed to the end of 2024 and beyond. We run these 2 out of every 3 months with the 3rd meeting reserved for a catch up around the surgeries and the PCN, new services etc. This gives patients an opportunity to give feedback or ask any questions. Most of our meetings are held over Microsoft Teams to enable as many people to join as would like to.

Our health education programme and recordings of previous education talks can be watched on the Hitchin and Whitwell website and can be found here https://hitchinandwhitwellpcn.nhs.uk/

We would love to see you at one of our meetings soon. If you haven’t already signed up, please register your interest with reception and someone will contact you with the details of the next meeting, or laternatively you can sign up through the HItchin adn Whitwell website.
